The Mental Health Technician provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or a registered nurse. Primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, and activities of daily living. the per diem MHT is required to work 2 12-hour shifts per month, but may also pick up additional shifts if available. Hours would be 6:30am - 7:00pm or 6:30pm to 7:00am.

• Monitors unite milieu and maintains a safe therapeutic environment for patients.
• Completes patient observation rounds timely, and accurately
• Responds to patients in crisis and acts accordingly
